We are a Bangkok-based landscape architecture and urban design firm committed to redefining how cities adapt, evolve, and thrive in a changing climate. Founded in 2011 by landscape architect Kotchakorn Voraakhom, the studio centers its practice on the belief that design is not a finished object, but an ongoing process— one that connects ecological systems, human experience, and long-term urban resilience.

LANDPROCESS provides land planning and master planning. We integrate high-level landscape architecture into our planning work. Our plans make sensitive use of topography, landform, natural resources, vegetation, infrastructure, and buildings, resulting in more livable and sustainable projects. This approach can nurture new directions for the master planning of communities, campuses, workplaces, civic and commercial districts, transit-oriented developments, waterfronts, recreation, and natural system restoration. As needed, we pull together teams of consultants ranging from engineers to scientists whose collective experience complements our own. Urban design at LANDPROCESS involves the systematic layering of various cultural and natural systems in order to solve the design issues of the city. As with planning, we integrate high-level landscape architecture into our urban design work. Whether it’s decaying infrastructure, a prominent urban district, high-density living, a river corridor, heavily used public spaces, or a series of transit stations, urban design requires a sophisticated understanding of integrating nature into dense urban environments. The multi-functional character of urban design is the key to its success. LANDPROCESS excels in this regard and our success can be measured by the quality of our implemented projects around the world.

Porous City LAB
Education is a fundamental part of LANDPROCESS’ design practice and a key tool for long-term urban resilience. Through community-based initiatives we work with local communities and universities to address urban challenges related to water, climate adaptation, and rapid urban transformation. LANDPROCESS conducts workshops, lectures, and design studios focused on the role of water in cities and the development of spatial strategies that respond to changing environmental conditions. Building on this work, LANDPROCESS is developing the Porous City LAB, an educational platform dedicated to teaching porosity as a core design principle for resilient urban environments across scales.
